Ten years ago: I was 13. ... oh my god, I was 13. I suddenly feel very, very old. Getting ready to start 8th grade. Talking on the phone to my best friends Jessica, Kim and Michelle every night. Trying to steal a glance at my boy-next-door crush, Adam. Listening to Oasis and Smashing Pumpkins against the grapevines in the evenings, staring out over the fields. Being young.


Five years ago: I was 18. Graduated from high school, getting ready to start Roane State. I was with J still. Some of the happiest times of my life. I was also deeper into the depression at that point than I knew... the next 2-3 years were going to be spent in total darkness.

One year ago: 22. Working at the hospital for over a year, working the the ER full-time for 7 months. Finally gained the confidence I needed to seek out the help I desperately needed.

Yesterday: I woke up at around 1600, took my medicine, worked out, drove to the store (seeing my dearest cop-friend twice in my 20-minute journey) to buy water. Worked out some more. Lazed around on the Internet.

Today: Hasn't begun yet. It won't until I wake up several hours from now.

Tomorrow: Probably the same as yesterday.
